Unlike vintage cars with heavy glass headlamps, all modern vehicles use lightweight, shatter-resistant Polycarbonate plastic.

While polycarbonate withstands gravel impacts, it is naturally porous and highly sensitive to ultraviolet (UV) light. Manufacturers apply a sacrificial UV-blocking clear coat at the factory.

In Mumbai's tropical climate — where cars endure scorching afternoon sun combined with saline humidity and acidic monsoon rains — this factory UV coat breaks down after 3 to 5 years. The underlying plastic begins to oxidize, turning yellow, foggy, and brittle, cutting your nighttime beam throw by more than half.

1. Precision Multi-Stage Wet Sanding: We progressively sand the lens through 800, 1200, 1500, 2000, and 3000-grit lubricated discs to completely shave off the yellow dead oxidized layer.

2. Optical Refining: We polish the smooth polycarbonate using specialized plastic cutting compounds to achieve crystal transparency.

3. UV Ceramic Hard Coating: We seal the raw polycarbonate under a dedicated UV-curing ceramic hard coat that bonds with the plastic, preventing yellowing for years.
